![]() I am hoping someone can help me make sense of the following which is the first part of the file that I thought gave me some clues:Ĭode: info:Source Pathname:PROD:Finals for Prod Manager:Collect for CR:GamePro:Penn&Teller/SCDĭestination Pathname:MDFT_outBasket:6/5 GP:Penn/GP58:ĭocument has been saved by the following versions of QuarkXPress: I went as far as opening up several of the files in a hex editor and while most of the extension-less files didn't reveal much, one file did. Even if I open the location of the program executable and frag one of the files on it, Quark opens but doesn't have anything to work with. I know the OS "remembers" which files go with which programs but my version doesn't seem to. When I go to the open dialog in any of those program, none of the files in the folder for this page layout show up. On this G3 I have installed various versions of QuarkXPress from 3.x to 5. I thought I would give it a go as well and found a cheap G3 locally. Needless to say they have been having trouble finding a quick way to open these and have them look good using QXP 4 for Windows. The Video Game History Foundation was given all the backup discs containing the files used to put the magazine together when it closed. the reason for this is because I have the original layout files for a page from the August 1995 issue of GamePro magazine. That being said, last weekend I picked up an iMac G3 (in blue) running Mac OS 9. Not a fan of using it, used Mac a bit in college and did not like how things worked. I will start out by saying I have never been a Mac person. ![]()
